I feel like the singing was decent, but the pauses you choose causes the song to sound awkward. It almost feels choppy, to me, that you stop every so and so second. I understand you need to pause for the chords, but it diminishes the quality of this song in particular.

I also feel your voice was a bit soft for this song, as I am a fan of Lana Del Ray myself. But, overall, it is your cover and I feel like you did what was needed to make it good.

thanks for your feedback, i will bear this in mind next time. I have got better recently through practice and such and will try to not pause in the future. I struggled switching some chords.

I'm not too much of a Megaman fan, but this was an okay attempt at a rap battle. I felt like more voice variation on your part, changing your voice more basically, would increase the quality of this.

The main part of this would be to distinguish who is rapping(mega-man or Cutman). Of course the listener can tell by the lyrics, but a greater difference would make it a lot funnier. With the beginning of the video, it was evident there was no attempt at trying to mask it was you(the announcer and Megaman). A shorter intro and more rapping would be optimal for something like this.

I'd suggest planning this out a bit more, cut up how much time you want to use with actual rapping, and then with the introduction.

Good try!

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, usually I pride myself on separating characters, so idk what went wrong this time. xD

It's a little lack-luster compared to the other rap battle series I run on Youtube, but I figured the extra element of a competition type thing would help it float.

I'll definitely take your comments into consideration. Thanks!

I am enjoyed this loop, but felt like the beginning(where it begins to loop back) could cut to a higher pitch. I feel like it dropping to that point signals the loop too much.

But, other than that, the actual looping melody is good. Has its fair share of idle moments and vibrate beats. A forty-four second loop is pretty long, or at least what I am used to.
Nice job!

Insanctuary responds:

That's nice to know from a critic's perspective. :)

It's an wonderful boss song as I'll put it. I can see this as a battle starting on the ground but slowly working its way up to a higher place, until the Phoenix falls from a great height and the hero stands victorious(haha, too much?)

There is nothing I can say that went wrong here. The sound goes well with the intention, the idea is great, and the sound bits used were well placed.

Good luck in the A.I.M contest you have entered, nice piece of work you got here!

Haha, thanks! I personally think it's great to have people come up with their own stories when they're listening to my music :)

I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the review!

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like the drums could have been the true leader for this music. It would have worked to make them a bit louder in my opinion, or at least work them to sound more bold.

But, as it stands, it works out well. There is a good enough melody to keep for a game in a neutral state. Something like walking around with no enemies on the field, or going toward an important place like a castle.

Good job!

-When I was making this, I had a great inspiration for infinite percussion variations, however I had to restrain myself, because I was afraid that I would go too far from the original path.

thank you for your review.

I...really liked this! It had an authentic Star Trek feel to it, smooth, with all the things you would expect from a typical soundtrack on a movie.

It's not common I find stuff I give 5's on, but it happens! I enjoyed the ending the most, starting at 1:50. It had a nice ending with solid sound. I hope you continue making melodies and music, since I find this pretty darn good!

Excellent :D

Hey,
Thanks so much Yume! I'm so glad you like it. You're the first to review any of my stuff (and a 5-star! XD), so I wanted to extend a special thanks to you. I was starting to think people couldn't listen to my songs or something XD

I'm working on other projects as well. PM me if you'd ever like a review from me on any of your work. Take care, and thanks again!

This sounds good, but it could use some work. I like the sound of it, but a lot can be mixed/added into it with instruments and beats.

Simplicity is good, but I feel like this could be the backbone of something much larger. It's always nice to hear what two people can create though, and good considering two people worked on this. Straight melodies that you have running throughout needs a bit more life from a drum or a soft guitar string.

Given that you probably won't add this anymore, it's a good stand-alone but can be worked upon to be something amazing.

Good job!

Thanks for the review. Yes this tune could be improved but like you said, we probably won't revisit it, at least for now. I'll just put my efforts into making my next compositions more interesting. I'll take your critique into consideration for my future works.

Thanks Again :)

Awesome.

There's nothing I really want to put in this review that's negative.

Sounds great. What else can I ask for?

Has a meaning, somewhat of a back story, and I enjoy it.

Keep it up&Favorited!
